Sesfontein Guesthouse offers bed & breakfast in the Sesfontein Village, with dome-style tent accommodation for the adventurous.
THE FLAIR
Sesfontein Guesthouse is situated right at the heart of the village of Sesfontein, about 110 km north of Palmwag. Staying at Sesfontein Guesthouse is a very rural experience with donkey carts a common sight and being woken up by crowing chickens well before dawn.
THE ROOMS
We offer 10 rooms each furnished with 1 double bed with the possibility of adding 1 extra single bed. All rooms come complete with en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning and mosquito nets. The guesthouse offers a swimming pool and provides secure parking.
THE FOOD
Our restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We pride ourselves in using mostly local ingredients – from bananas to pumpkins, tomatoes, salads, onions, carrots and more. We bake our own bread and serve the best banana bread north of Windhoek.
SLEEP-OUT PACKAGES
Accommodation for our guests is provided in modern dome style tents. The tents provide comfortable beds consisting of a stretcher, a fully made up bedroll, a blanket and a pillow. When it does decide to get chilly, especially during wintertime, we supply extra blankets for our guests' ultimate comfort.
We provide basic communal ablutions and ensure privacy as well as comfort in the wildest of locations. Descriptions are only guidelines. Actual logistics at the discretion of the guide. Subject to weather conditions and animal movements.

HIMBA EXCURSION - Min. 2 Pax
We depart in a guesthouse 4x4 safari vehicle (if available) or your 4x4 vehicle to a Himba village close by. Here you will be able to see the daily duties in the village. Himba people are very proud of their tradition and they will explain their daily life to you. You will also have the possibility to view the accommodation and living areas. Duration: 2.5-3 hours (08:30-11:00/11:30) Includes: food presents for Himbas and water for guests.
HOANIB ELEPHANT DRIVE - Min. 2 Pax
This excursion is a full-day excursion into the dry Hoanib riverbed. After an early breakfast, we depart from the guesthouse. We explore parts of the Hoanib River in search of the elusive desert-adapted elephants (wildlife sightings are never a guarantee). Includes: light lunch and refreshment drinks. Requires a min. 2-night stay at the guesthouse on a DBB basis (at an additional cost).
SELF-DRIVE HOANIB EXCURSION
A guide will accompany you in your own vehicle, exploring the area around Sesfontein, and the Hoanib riverbed in search of the desert-adapted elephants and other Namibian game that call these dry landscapes their home (wildlife sightings are never a guarantee). Excludes: entrance fees, lunch and drinks for guests. Requires a min. 2-night stay at the guesthouse on a DBB basis (at an additional cost).
SUNDOWNER DRIVE
We depart on a scenic nature drive in a 4x4 safari vehicle to a nearby lookout point/sunset spot. Here we relax and enjoy the breathtaking views with some snacks and drinks. Duration: 2.5-3 hours (16:00/17:00 - 19:00/19:30). Includes: snacks and sundowner drinks.
