SOFT ADVENTURE CAMP OFFERS PEACEFUL CHALET AND CAMPING ACCOMMODATION IN THE NAMIBIA DESERT, SOLITAIRE, NAMIBIA

The new Soft Adventure Camp has been designed for the nature-loving visitor who wants to experience the undisturbed Namib Desert in the privacy of a comfortable chalet. The rustic camp is located among the outcrops of a granite hill.

CHALET ACCOMMODATION IN THE NAMIBIA DESERT

15 spacious en-suite chalets strategically placed with a grand view over the savanna plains: Each sleeping 2 on request 3 guests.

The central gathering unit offers: An open show kitchen, where you can watch the chef preparing delicious meals. A bar, with a variety of beverages and the dining area.

CAMPING SITE ACCOMMODATION IN SOLITAIRE

On a secluded area, hidden behind one of the granite hills, is the location of the camping site. Each of the sites has a brick-layered stand – ideal for igloo tents – offering an even base for comfortable camping. 

There are eight different camping areas, where up to four tents can be placed close to each other. Each of these areas is equipped with its own barbeque fireplace.There are communal cold water shower and toilet facilities.

ACTIVITIES IN SOLITAIRE, NAMIB DESERT

WALKING TRAILS
A 1 hour hiking trails leads around the granite hill. The Zebra Trail is a wellmarked 2 hour trail in the Naukluft Mountains of the private desert reserve and can be booked guided or unguided.

WATER HOLE
A water hole in front of the chalets attracts a variety of antelope and ostriches.

EXCURSIONS
Sossusvlei excursion: A 7-hour early morning drive in a 4x4 vehicle includes a visit to dune 45, the Sossusvlei, the Dead Vlei and the Sesriem Canyon. The picnic breakfast and the park fees are included.

DESERT DRIVE
This excursion offers a unique 4-5 hour drive on the private desert reserve and leads through an undisturbed desert scenery crossing the Tsondab riverbed and visiting the unique Moringa forest. A selection of beverages and snacks are included.

SUNDOWNER DRIVE
The ‘sundowner’ drive is a 1.5 hour drive during the late afternoon and brings you to the natural marble mountains on the reserve. Drinks can be purchased.
